Hey there kids. Just poking my head in with my first new post to see if I already know anyone here.

Is anyone here a Bronzer, or does anyone know of anyone who comes here who is?

If there is anyone here I know then a big hearty 'hello' to you. If not, a big hearty 'hello' to anyone I don't know.

ZOID

Aramina:

Welcome to the board! Just jump right in anywhere: We're friendly and (mostly) respectable.

Ummm... 'Bronzer'? Is that like someone who gets their tan out of a bottle? I don't know about that; but, we do have one particular fem who gets her hair color out of a bottle (or six, depending on the season). Would she do?

Hospitably,

zoid

P.S.
Maybe I'm not exactly the right guy to drive the Welcome Wagon, hmmm?

I use to be way back when they had the first bronze message board but I haven't been on there in six years.

Keep shiny!

Welcome, Aramina!

There is no explanation for Zoid, but what he is referring to is my hair color(s). He is obsessed with it for some reason. Which I have no problem with, I just wish he would brush it instead of write prose about it, you know?

Allow me to introduce myself: I hijack threads and turn them into discussions about me. It's nothing personal, I just can't seem to help it. I am my favorite topic, after Firefly of course. Well, mostly. Anyway, I probably need an intervention. Or a thread dedicated strictly to me........

Zoid - Well, at the Bronze we do {{{hugs}}} to new people, well I do, sometimes. So {{{hugs}}}. Of course we do more than {{{hug}}} at the Bronze. According to popular myth we:

1. Flame newbies
2. Flame each other
3. Flame the writers
4. Flame burgers (I added that in, tee hee)
5. Talk crap (I know I do)
6. Purposefully make conversations difficult to follow.

(Hey, I like these smilies!, we don't got those at the Bronze)

So if you like to do any or all of the above I'm sure you'd be most welcome to come along at be ingored like all the other newbies :D

Hi Lissa,

If you're worried about keeping track of a conversation then the best way forward is to start your very own. Pose a question... find a random statement of someone's to reply to.

Then all you do is sit back and wait for the posts to roll in. Well, trickle more like because there aren't as many of us as there used to be. A good tip is to ctrl+f for your name or a topic you're interested in... say Spike for example. Do ctrl+f and find some conversations about Spike.

If you post I'll respond if you post it to me. I only ctrl+f for my name most of the time because I don't have the time to scroll that I used to.

You know you want to...

I'm fine! I just finished baking a Dunkin Hines "Dreamsicle" cake for a friend's birthday. I am hoping she DOESN'T like it. "Why?" you ask. Good question. Because if she LIKES it she will EAT it and if she EATS it she will blame me for making her fat. That's just the way she thinks. I don't like most orange-y flavored things, so I kinda hope I don't like it either. But I hope OTHER people like it so I won't have wasted my money. You know?

Hey, cake is cake in my books. Send some my way! And I promise to only blame me for making me fat.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the board Aramina. Glad to have you with us.

Not much on the Buffy boards. I am familiar w/ the Bronze, but never did more than lurk.

How did you run across Firefly? Did you catch it on tv or later on the DVD set?

Hi BrownCoat1

I got into Firefly through Joss plugging it on the Bronze, and everyone else there talking about it. I've only just been able to watch it though because I don't have Sky TV and it hasn't been on terrestrial TV and I've only just been able to both afford and have time to watch the DVDs.

I've only watched everything once though, I've lent the DVDs to my Mum and Auntie and now I can't wait to get them back!

Aramina,

I think you will find, as we all have, that Firefly is one of those rare shows that you can watch many times and never get tired of it. I myself am up to the 19th viewing of the episodes in order.

Glad to hear you are sharing the show w/ family. I have found that loaning the DVD set is the easiest way to make converts as the show sells itself. Too bad Fox didn't seem to get it.

Well, I have no idea how many times I've watched Buffy and Angel all the way through. When I first started to buy the box sets I used to just watch my favourite episodes but then I got into watching all of them in order. Thing is, there are so many episodes, and I've had some box sets longer than others so there are some I've only had for a year or so. Plus I haven't even seen Angel season 5.

I think Firefly will at least be a little easier for me to keep track of, what with it being so short and all *sob*
