That's right, kids. I sure hope nobody else has posted this, or I'll look downright foolish....but hey, I'll give it a try.

AbbyShot Custom Clothiers ( http://www.abbyshot.com ) is fairly well-known for making obsessively accurate reproductions of coats and jackets from movies, TV, and the like. Well, some time ago, I posted on this website a link to a thread in which they were contemplating making a Browncoat. Apparently, the support was high enough, because they HAVE decided to make it! They've apparently already figured out the "design technicals," which means they'll have a pattern before too long. They've also gotten several types of suede leather to possibly use (I'm partial to the reddish one in the very top-center area of the picture). Now, be aware that AbbyShot coats are VERY pricey, ranging from (U.S.) $350 to $630....and the fact that this one is leather probably won't help it be on the lower end of that spectrum.

Still, they say they'll have it ready before Serenity is released in September (which is apparently when they've pushed it back to, which irritates me mightily). I thought this was big enough news to make it into the main room, rather than just the Trading Post. If not...oh well.
