Well, I know a lot of you very well, either by talking to you directly or reading your many posts on the board.

So in this light I would like to formally introduce myself.

My name is Robert McDonald, and no I am not related to Lindsay...(Angle joke).

My email addy is sophiriam1@aol.com (a mixture of my daughters names; Sophia and Miriam)

By the way my family calls me Bob, so please, everyone call me Bob

Hey Rick,

Actually It was my Great Grandfather that Last saw the waters of Scotland in my Family.

His Family moved to Canada about 1900 and they came down into America in the early 1900's.

Originally my grandmothers Family(mothers mother) was from Edinburgh.
My grandmother was born in New York and became a Nun when she was in her 20's.
However during that time she met my Grandfather, one of those Pesky Irishmen that tend to linger about, and a year later, and a release from the convent later...they married.

So my Mom met my Pop here in Indiana (funny how two British Americans find each other in a area more German than Germany) and the rest is history.

Funny though, my family never actually became "Naturalized" we just showed up and after a couple of Generations we just became Americans, but if you Ask my Grandmother we are still just as British as we ever were.

Any other British Americans lingering about?

I almost forgot to ask....

If there is anyone from Britain that would like to correspond with me, I would love to have a penpal from the Homeland.
