Daydream Music for Firefly/Serenity

Hey Browncoats,

What music do you play in your mind while you are daydreaming about Firefly? (I mean, other than the main theme!) Or, what "other" music do you associate with Firefly or wish you would hear in the upcoming Serenity movie?

I ask because of some pleasant synchronicity while listening to an album by a musical group called Delerium (Sarah McLachlan’s experimental band) that I periodically check up on. They are one of my favorite groups, and have a very heavily layered, trippy dance and trance type of music (I can't quite quantify it) that is wonderful to work or daydream to.

They released an album called Chimera in 2003, and song number 6 is called Serenity. It evokes the feeling of flying through space; unknown places with strange Central Asian music; the unknowable places of the spirit. You can sample the Serenity tune on Amazon or Apple's iTunes music store and get a 30 second hit. In traditional Delerium fashion, the cover art is simply gorgeous. And if you like Chimera/Serenity, you will LOVE their previous album called Karma which is an all-time favorite for their fans. The whole Karma album is like Serenity!

Also, a 'Chimera' is an imaginary monster made up of incongruous [out of place] parts, which seems appropriate for our spaceship family of misfits and out of place 'objects in space. '

There, I've started everyone off thinking on a new tangent, which hopefully will NOT contain any political detours! :-)

Makes me wonder if Godsmack ever watched Firefly...
