OK, I know, we are all well in agreement about the supreme evil that is Reality Television, and basically sick of harping on it. However, after seeing the promos for the upcoming season of NBC while watching the Friends Finale, I just became all that much more irritated. When will this stop? So here is the low-down on new and returning reality TV:

NBC:
For Love or Money
Last Comic Standing
Next Action Hero
Who Wants to Marry my Dad

CBS:
The Amazing Race
Big Brother
Diva of Domesticity
And of course, Survivor

ABC:
Has not yet release next seasons line-up

FOX:
The Next Great Champ
The Swan
The Simple Life 2
America Idol
The Comlex: Malibu

WB:
Superstar
High School Reunion

UPN:
Top Model

Soon there will be no need for Actors, Writers or writers, though directors as reality tv isn't really reality, and of course producers. And soon we will have nothing left to watch.

ZOID

Angeldove:

I've said it before and I'll say it again and again and again (at least until the orderly gets here with my gag): 'reality' and 'TV' are mutually exclusive terms and should never be used in the same sentence, similar to 'military intelligence' and 'European Union'.

But, I've got a great idea for a 'reality'...

...'TV' show. How about having 'real' people with 7 concealed (at least from the viewing public) television cameras pointed at them as they burn the works of Shakespeare, Voltaire and Swift? Maybe the 'real' people could eat live worms and have their genitals surgically enlarged, while simultaneously trying to read "The Pokey Little Puppy" or something equally challenging to their 'intellect'.

How did we get here?

Respectfully,

zoid
