I'm trying to start a Ballad of Firefly that really goes into depth the characters and the idea of Firefly. This is only a little bit so far and some help would be great. Ideas, whatever.

This is only a rough copy and thrown together ideas so far...

They were not heroes
But they didn't want to be heroes in in the first place

They were a family
But they didn't know it

They were all looking for something
But never realized they had already found it

They'll do any job
Anywhere
As long as it puts fuel in the tanks
And food on the table

They were little people
That no cared for
Or even knew existed

One was a lost man
Who had no dreams
No glory
No hope
All he had was a ship and a crew
And the sky

He was an extradorinary man
In times that had no use for them
Who was full of honor
And believed in doing the right thing

His soul had been laid barren
And a dark man rose
To overshadow what light was left

Where others would have given up
And given in
He kept going

One was a low-down, dirty deceiver
Who held no qualms
In doing bad things
As long as he was paid

But deep inside him
There was a good man
That cared for the ones he loved

He was a hero
But not
That has a statue built for him
By those that need heroes

His love is in Vera
Though whores he does like

As long as he has a big room
He won't be on your bad side
