I'm a shiny new fan just landing in NYC (Brooklyn, actually) and am already looking to indulge my Fly-ness. See, just two days before I came out here to stay with friends for a few months, my copy of the Firefly DVD's came in the mail. Due to some restraints in getting everthing packed that I needed, I had to let my set stay behind. I know, I know... Would a Shepard leave his bible? Alright, enough of the ruttin' allusions to the show! On to my point: Anyone here in NYC having any Firefly shindigs any time soon? If so, let me know.

Welcome to the board GrrArgg (nice play on the ME creature in the end credits). Always nice to have a new fan join the site. Hope to see you posting regularly.

I know there are bound to be some NYC or NY fans on here somewhere, but I haven't heard about any Shindigs in your area.

Well, I am in New York State around the capitol Albany. About a 2 hour drive to New York City from where I live. Maybe 1 hour by train.
