Confused with Interview with Firefly composer Greg Edmonson

If you look at the news headline article mentioned above you'll see that the composer dude mentions the scene in "Heart of Gold" when Inara tells Mal she's leaving and that music was very moving becasue they knew the show was axed.. the part im confused about is that in the extras on the DVD's the composer uses nearly the exact same words to describe the music in "The Message".. Is he getting mixed up?

I think what he's saying is that that scene with Inara (Christ I'm in love with her) was the last bit of music he wrote so it ment alot to him -

On the DVD, he does say something very similar about the funeral scene in the message but that wasn't the last bit of music he wrote for the show, he just happened to be writing music for a funeral scene the day he heard that Firefly had been axed and so he turned that into the godbye lament not for the dead guy but for the show.

I guess your confusion comes from Greg's limited vocabulary - but hey, he's a musician - what's he need to talk for?
