I was watching the latest David Pogue (NY Times Tech writer) podcast rant about that there is no standard method for determining laptop battery life ratings.

In the part they show on of the tests some manufactures use is the playing a DVD movie in a loop - the movie that they show in the loop is Serenity! (about 1:55 into clip)
