So, I'm gratified that people here have at least heard of my work.

Since you've read some, what do you think of either Freehold or Better to Beg Forgiveness... as far as feeling like the 'verse?

Sorry for the belated reply,I do not own a computer(in fact there is very little I DO own,but thankfully ;no debt either!)
I never had the creative gift,so I tend to appreciate it when I run across it .

Well, get a computer. I was using Win98 until last October. You don't need new and fancy.

And AT&T will bundle cheap DSL with phone.

Mike, until I pick up the new job;I am living in a boarding house. Not bitching;but it is what it is.
My situation will improve (soon-new job starts July 6)-than I can trade up fro some better digs.
Priorities-1)Location wherer I can have dogs again.2)Computer(no I am not picky, just poor at the moment)3)My little "hard asset restocking" that I referenced earlier.
Like I said;I had a rough couple of years,but niothing I can't handle.

Yeah, a ship that takes dogs is a good thing.

Cats, in my case. Sneaky little bastards.

Yeah it is.Most of my life (outside of barracks)=-and even then...) I had dogs.Over hte years I have had 4 PBT's and 4 Dobies. For soem reason ,my Doberman's were always females.
Back in NOvemeber of 2006,my last one(Addie,a big Black&Tan) got diagnosed with cancer on the spleen;that had spread to her liver.Doc(good guy!) told me she was not in pain;but her string was running out-just give huim a call when her quality of life started to go.
She hung on until 02/17/07.Doc.Smith made a house call in hthe middle of a snow storm so she could go out in her own bed as opposed to a drive to the vets office....like I said,a good guy.
If she had not been sick I do believe she would have made it to 15(ancient for a Dobie).
This is the longest that I have been dogless as an adult.
I figure when the residence situation improves,I'll clock back in with Doberman rescue League Onlimited in Sandwown NH.Or take up on eof my neighbor's offers-his Pitties had two litters back to back ;and ever so often I get gan tackled by about 8 PBT puppies and Daddy Diesel when I take out the trash in the morining(think of it as a "mental health break-LOL").Good temperment;and beautiful markings(brindles;one with two different colored eyes).
