Yep, Mal is sexy, but I find intelligence sexiest of all, and that is definitely Simon. Years from now some of the muscles might fade on the guys, Simon included, but that sharp mind of his will develop from life experience. Why not get in on the ground floor, instead of waiting for him to mature? If there is such a thing. We have to remember on the show Mal has had years to adapt to his change in life, Jayne goes where there is money and guns, and Wash has his wife. Simon is the only one trying to find his place and is just at the beginning of that journey. I find that very appealing.

I watched "The Message" yesterday and I found out what's the key for me.
it's chest muscles not chest hair. Tracy is nice enough looking but he _really_ needs to grow up to be a man before I start to drool. there are no muscles in his chest whatsoever and that's exactly what I look at when I see a shirtless male.
so smooth skin over some muscle. no chicken-chest with hair for me please.

and the bear types always scream "caveman" to me and that sooo turns me off. no need for them to kill any bears with their hands or uproot any trees. it's a wrong association but big men always 'look' dumb and crude and even unfeeling to me and that really doesn't work.

and it's still fun to read all the different replys.

Well, I do like intelligence -- whether book-larnin' or street smarts (is it still "street" smarts if he's flyin' a space ship?)--but I must admit, I do like a bit of caveman in a man. I 'specially like a bit of caveman in a man who is normally at least mostly civilized.
There really are few things hotter than an righteously angry (possibly unshaven)attractive man getting into an arguement or fist/sword/gun fight with the bad guy. It's just the swellest kind of swell.
But I wouldn't like it all the time. If the only way they can react is paleolithically, that's not attractive, I agree.
But manly men doing manly things in a manly manner can be excellent.
