If anyone is interested there are a few reviews at Rotten Tomatoes, check'em out. The one really worth reading is the Bryan Byun review.

Hey..great reviews..thanks for the link.
You're right - the Bryan Byun review was awesome and that last line of his opening paragraph says it all:

"So the Fox powers-that-be, holding this golden goose in their laps, took the next logical step:

They cancelled it."

great stuff...going back to read the other reviews!

"It's pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambytoes."

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Thanks for posting the link. It is really great to see positive reviews still coming in more than a month after the DVD set hit the streets.

This was great!

My favorite part of Bryan Byun's review is:

"The crew of Serenity is cleared on all charges, and the court sentences the Fox execs who axed Firefly, in the words of Shepherd Book, "to burn in a very special level of Hell, a level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.""

MAL: Everybody's makin' a fuss.

And the thing that really stood out to me, is that the two really bad reviews are not based on the DVD set but on the television show, prior to release on DVD. I think it would be interesting to see how these reviewers would rate the show if they actually saw it the way it was meant to be seen. I figure it would be a waste of time to challenge these reviewers to do a new review based solely on the value of the DVD set, especially in regards to how long ago these reviews were written, but I decided to post their response links below in case anyone felt like offering them this challenge.
