Sorry it's been so long since I've updated but we've not had a great deal of news. We've been trudging our way through the quagmire of city codes and building permits. The good folks here in Wilmington have been very friendly and extremely helpful, but there is just so much paperwork!

Anyway, here's where we stand thusfar:

We began our renovations last week, stripping away the old in preparation for the new. The first stage should be complete by mid week. By that time, all of our permits should be approved so that the second (and most major) stage can begin.

We've moved in our seats. There will be 70 seats in the theatre itself with additional seating in the pub/concession area and a comfy sofa lounge.

We've worked out agreements with the Playwright's Producing Company, the Terrifying Space Monkies and Brooklynn Greene to bring entertainment to the facility. They, along with Guerilla Theatre, will ensure a good time for all each and every weekend at the Brown Coat Pub & Theatre.

We're right on course for our grand opening February 14-17 2008.

Something I could use help on is getting in Contact with Can't Stop Serenity. We want to arrange a charity showing of the Big Damn Movie but have thusfar been unsuccessful in reaching those who can help make it happen.

Hope you're all as excited about the shiny news as I am! More to come soon.
