HELP!!! (ye gods, please help!)

i'm freaking out here!

heres what happened:

as some of you may recall, this past july i went to LA to visit my uncle, and happened to run into our dear Summer at the hollywood bowl. she being the wonderful person she is, she consented to take a picture with me. so of course, i scurry home and post said picture here to share (and, lets be honset, maybe brag a little) with you guys.

so heres where the HELP! comes in:

this afternoon, i'm checkin summer-glau.net, adn the web miss has posted a link to a new SCC sight. so i'm poking around the sight.....

....and low and behold, there's my own face staring back at me, right next to summer's.

here's where it get's tricky. did i ask summer to take a picture with me? why, yes, i believe i did. did i say something like 'hey summer, is it ok if i post this on the web?' why, noooooooo, i certainly didn't. In that i thought about it at all, i figured it would be ok, since i was just using it to share the experience with you guys.

BUT, now it's off on some quasi-official sight, quite without her permission.
so:

WHAT DO I DO?????

i've e-mailed the web miss at summer-glau.net, hoping she maybe has some kind of direct line (email address, maybe?) to summer, where i can at leas apologize/offer to do what i can to get the picture down. but, from the way i understand things, its too late, yeah?

the picture is up on photobucket, and if i delete it from there it'll go away from where I've posted it (here); but ONLY from there, right? if someone else yanked it, is there anything i can do about it?

i guess it seems relatively unlikely that she would actually mind, but even if nothing else, it's increadibly rude; so what can i do?!?!?

HELL'S KITTEN

Hallo.

Unfortunately, once it's on Teh InterWub, it's out of your control unless you have that nifty "All Rights Reserved" thing attached to it. Even then, posting on forums without a rights statement attached is a sketchy thing.

The best option would be just to email the admin of the SCC (?) site and ask them to remove your picture. Most folks, I've found, are quite accommodating when that sort of thing happens.

thanks. turns out, once i stopped freaking out enough to take a closer look at the sight, it's one of those anyone-edit things, so i made an account and kaboomed it myself; now i just hope it stays kaboomed...

Nice to hear it has been, more or less, sorted out. And since I'm a picky one for the grammar and spelling remember it is a website, not sight. Site is for location, sight is what you see.

No, with Summer on it, it really is a web... sight. :) Other than that, what can I say? Were it me with Summer on a picture, one she herself shared with the 'Verse, no less, I'd be jumping up and down for joy like Jayne in a whorehouse. But that's just me. :)

Seriously now, Miramel, I can understand your anxiety, what with your mug plastered on the net and all. But keep in mind that, to others, you just look like the zillions of other folks we daily see on the net. In other words: there ain't no soul gonna notice. Which wouldn't be a good thing per se, if you sought fame and glory; but, in this case, I think you may find it a comforting reality. :)

nah, see, SHE didn't put it there; ('twere that the case, i'd certainly be doing the happy dance :) )i dunno who did, and i'm worried as to her seeing it, and being less then thrilled to have that particular picture advertising her on the SCC page.

your words on the one-in-a-zillion point are well-taken; i 'spose she herself might not even recognize it; she does take pics w/ an aweful lot of fans...

EDIT: i now realize that in the original post, it said (i fixed it) 'without here permission' instead of 'without her permission'. kinda a major detail :P
