I recently started working as part of the cast of an internet tv series calld ./shutdown. The writer and director are huge Firefly fans, and thus it was only a matter of time before they got me watching it. I'm hooked, even though I'm only 1/2 way through the series so far.

Welcome to the site Gratch! Glad to have you here posting with us. Good to hear your friends introduced you to Firefly and you are enjoying it. Be sure to pick up a copy (or six!) of the new Collector's Edition of the movie "Serenity" that tells the story of the crew after the series ended.
