I'm curious. Fox is considering returning "Family Guy" because of their DVD sales. If that happens, it would make sense for them to consider returning "Firefly" as well. If Universal now has rights to Firefly, will that keep Fox from being able to restart the series? Will they have to wait until Universal releases the rights, until the film has finished production or been released? I want to know if the show might have any MORE hurdles to jump through in order to return.

I don't pretend to know what the wording of the contract between Fox and Universal was, but I would imagine that Universal only bought the movie rights, maybe with an option on the TV distro rights. It may well be that the TV broadcast rights are still in Fox's possesion but up for grabs.
