WATCHASISOAR

This is my first post, so to avoid any unfriendliness allow me to introduce myself. I am a 20-something-year-old male from a place in Canada.

I recently decided to dig out my DVD set of Firefly, I had the urge to rewatch the series, and so I did... in one day (funny how you truly appreciate how great something is after it is gone). When I reached the last episode, that old familiar feeling came over me. Dread. After that episode there would be nothing left. Overwhelmed, I turned off my DVD player; I foolishly thought that if I stopped watching here, somehow Firefly wouldn't end. In the end my love/addiction for the show won out and I finished the episode. A little misty eyed I might add. As soon as it finished I jumped to my computer, hoping to find some news concerning a second season, but coming up empty handed, or with outdated material.

So my question: Has there been ANY news concerning the revival of the series? Anything more than speculation? Sorry if this question has been answered before.

Welcome!

Have you seen Serenity movie? I´t sounds like you haven´t. If so watch it, it´s a great ending(?) to great show. Nobody knows if we are getting new tv show or movie but we are hopeful.

Fortunately I have seen the movie, which was great.

It is sad that there might not be another season. If only we could contact Mr. Whedon directly and plead our case.

Howdy and welcome aboard. In addition to the series and the movie, Joss also did a comic, "Those Left Behind", which bridged the two a bit. There's also the Firefly and Serenity visual companions which are full of goodies (and a special edition of the movie dvd coming out w/ more extras).

To answer your question; at the moment there is nothing solid, beyond speculation and hopefull coments from Joss and the crew about another season or movie. We're all holding here and there's a lot of great fan fiction and vids to be found. Check out the guerrilla marketing board on this sight for ideas to help bring our big damn heroes and the 'verse back.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site and the browncoat ranks WatchAsISoar! Glad to have you here.

Have you checked out the comic mini series "Those Left Behind"? It tells some of the story of what takes place between the end of the series and the movie. There is also another comic mini coming out called "Better Days".
