My dad was tellin me of an interview with Richard Hatch(Apollo) in which Hatch was claiming the new Battlestar was going to alienate old battlestar fans because its nothing like the old series. Anyone know any more regarding this?

Well, it's hard to tell from the previews but it looks like Starbuck and Boomer are now women (not that I have anything against women, being one myself). Also, at least one of the cylons is a humanoid seductress. I can't say that it would necessarily alienate old fans but it's clear that the mini-series has little to do with the flavor of the old series and IMO, it will not appeal to women. SciFi.com does have an extensive website for those looking for more info.
