During the first twenty-four hours after that post, the so-called Digg Effect hammered the session416.com fansite to the tune of more than 25,000 hits. For varying periods of time the site was inaccessible. In addition, the Internet Archive server which hosts the .mov file of the complete Sessions embedded on the main page of the session416.com fansite went down as well, seemingly promoting the Archive to move the file to a new server, temporarily breaking the session416.com embed.

Sometime after the Sessions were posted to Digg, they were posted to Netscape and then picked up by TV Squad, which mistakenly referred to them as "never released".
