Hi, I'm Plissken :smokin:, I'm 18 and live in NY,NY,USA. I've just recently fallen in love with this show and feature film, which, I believe, are works of art. I have also just found this website, which is very convienient because usually I am not part of a fanbase, but for these extraordinary productions I will make a GIGANTIC exception. I have never felt the need to write a fanfic or roleplay or even REALLY consider buying a GM book for a tabletop RPG. Yet now that I have found this amazing series, I have changed my whole outlook on all of these concepts. I want to be involved in what happens (or doesn't happen I REALLY DON'T :censored: CARE AT THIS POINT :biggrin:) with this site for and by my fellow Browncoats. I would also like to meet as many other fans as I can, because if you like this show/movie, you're my kind of people (also, if someone could take the time to show me the ropes of this site *especially the RP section*, it would be greatly appreciated). I know I aim to misbehave, what about you :naughty:?

Sorry I can't help you with the RPG stuff, that's never been my bag, but I'm sure there will be plenty others to show up that can answer all your questions.

I am all over discussions of the series and BDM though. I'm one of the lucky ones who have experienced Firefly from the beginning on FOX, and I've just recently viewed the dvds for the umpteenth time a few weeks ago, and yet started again yesterday. I couldn't help myself after looking at all the great trailers people have done for the contest.

Enjoy your stay here, it's a very shiny place. Meal's in ten, no need to dress.

I love this place, and I hope you'll come to love it as much as I do. Lots of shiny folks here and lots of plans for the anniversary of the release of the movie, so don't forget to check out the threads for Browncoats who like to be involved and lend a hand! You'll find all that stuff in the Guerilla Marketing threads, middle of the front page, right under the General Discussion part of the forum.

Can't help with the RPG stuff, gorramnit, no time for RPG, but I know there will be folks along who will tell you everything you need to know. :smile:

As some of the other's have mentioned I do hand out virtual browncoat's to new folks. *hangs Pliskenn a browncoat that does indeed fit perfectly and is just right for whatever weather you're in. :biggrin: *

We do love to see new recruits hereabouts. So how'd you find FF/S? On your own? Did a friend/family member get ya to watch? We just love conversion stories here. :biggrin: I found it in the begining being more than willing to watch anything Joss had a hand in on.

I haven't tried the RP yet, so can't help ya there, but we got others what do. Folks was a bit scarce this weekend due to the convention in Georgia that Summer and Alan were guests at, but should be returning soon and may have some info for ya in the RP area.

Okay it appears i am the first RPGer on this thread so i will have to do the showing of ropes. This sint an RPG orientated site so there isnt really much selection But the freedom within them is infinite. There are no bound rules just try to be thoughtful and considerate and have FUN!!!

The serenitree is more random and fun and special branch is more angsty and violence but there both good and not mutually exclusive im on both.
