Actually, no bubble burst here...

My husband and I have argued for months, literally, months about that line, I always said it was "Wanna", and he said it was "Want it.." I finally conceded so the bickering would stop..

I should have known better! Thanks for clearing that up!

Mal: You know, you ain't quite right.
River: It's a popular theory.

Miss PhoenixRose is probably sleeping...she works nights.

This transcript says "Wanna?"

This script says "You never been... how'd you like to?"

http://www.average-bear.com/firefly/107.html

I've always thought Mal said "Want it?"

So...we have no conclusive answer yet!

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

*pokes head in*
Not quite asleep yet; I had to buy a birthday present for my daddy!
Always happy to resolve any argument in my power
"Wanna" really makes more sense, given the context...

What? Why the blushing? No need for that; I am usually asleep by now, is very true. Just not today. Got all distracted here and left for the bookstore later than I meant to, then came back and got back on because I am an adict.
Good news is, my local Barnes and Noble is well stocked with the Serenity Visual Companion.

So have you put the Firefly Out of Gas episode
in the DVD player and hit the mute button before
the scene. Don't have to say nothing...just
let the writing on the screen say it for ya.

"Wanna"

And if he still wants to argue. Then I guess you
will just have to get tickets to a convention
that Nathan (Our Captain) Fillion is going to
be at and have you or your husband ask him if it was "Wanna" or "Want it".

Like Flan II.

America loves a winner!

I can see how a few lines might be up for interpretation, but this one ? Given what I can recall and seeing the context of what's being discussed/ asked.....it's " wanna ? " .

Plain as day.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

It's definetly "Ya wanna?". I use high quality headphones and I can hear every little thing.

How many Jaynes does it take to change a light bulb?

Two. One to try to put it in and another to find a bigger hammer.

I thought it was 'Wanna' as in 'want to' - 'not want it', coz that'd make the kind of sense that doesn't - but don't take it from any of us - I agree with Anon1, only your husband has to pay for the tickets and all!
