Ok, we need to get the basic framework of Serenity Day down pat cold. There will be pros and cons to any decision made, so no one take any offense if your view is not seen.

What we need decided as soon as possible, and must stick with it:
Date
General Mission (Buy Serenity, send letters, what not)
Charities benefiting
Slogan

These need to be on our official S-day website as soon as possible, and we need to be unified in this effort. Does anyone really care if it's june 23rd or sep 30, as long as it gets done? Or about the wording of the slogan?

What can wait:
advertising scheme (but not for long)
target of our letters (and date postmarked)
regional direction of our efforts

The point is this needs to be a top-down run operation. We need a few people (Kaele, Agatsu, etc.) who are willing to take charge and make it happen, and legions of browncoats willing to make objections known, but also willing to go with the program.

Quick note: I do think we should stick to our original date. We have a lot of steam we don't want to lose, and we've already made several news blogs.

You know what, we have Kaele. She is working on things. It's hard enough trying to get people in the same room on the same page and this thing is GLOBAL. Not even close to the same room is it?

So, think about it. We have 56 DAYS to get stuff rolling. Do you really think that 9/30 will hold all the steam and passion that we have generated in the last week? I really doubt it. We will be doing it all over again come August and people will want to push things back again.

What EVERYBODY needs to do is put their egos away. Work for one cause with MULTIPLE benefits. The last I heard Kaele was doing just that but it's kind of hard when everyone under you is trying to tell you how to run things but is unwilling to take charge themselves.

It's gonna work people. Patience. We have 56 days.

One day.
One mission.
One army of Browncoats.

On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave.
Then the fun begins.

Personally, I couldn't agree with you more.

I agree, things need to be decided on, and the sooner the better. And the best way to do that is to decide what the issues are (as in the OP) and what the choices are (as various voting threads have done). Then, those on the board vote, those in charge count, and move the volunteers into action. This is a grass roots movement and needs to have the approval of the grass roots, if you know what I mean. Voting is the easiest way to solve problems with the least amount of fuss.
