I saw this story yesterday and the image just won't leave my head. It was a short bit about the astronauts harrowing re-entry aboard the Soyuz capsule. They landed two hundred miles off course and far out of reach of their 'welcoming committee'...

Quote:

American Donald Pettit, the weakest upon return, didn't mind having a few more hours alone with his crewmates after 161 days together in orbit.

"I was actually relieved to ooze out of the spacecraft and lay on Mother Earth and have a solitude moment in which to get reacquainted," Pettit said.

All three were crawling on their hands and knees the first hour and a half, said cosmonaut Nikolai Budarin, who was the first one out.

Just thought that had a kinda poetry to it.

LOSTANGEL

huh.

Kinda like how life started out. We oozed out of the primordial soup, took a look around, and declared this land This Land.

Everything else gets a bit complicated from there.

WASH: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction.
ZOE: We live in a space ship, dear.
WASH: So?
