Hello Browncoat friends,

We've watched the Serenity dvd about half a dozen times now and made a few observations. I'd enjoy seeing your post if you want to add something or see things differently.

When Mal picks River up in the bar after shes put to sleep by her brother and brings her back to the ship there begins a discussion as to why she was back aboard. the plan had been to drop them off at the next port of call.
When Jayne brings this up Mal looks at Zoey. I remember the conversation they had in the ships hallway.
Zoe" During time of war, we would have never left a man behind."

and then Kaylee in the bar " Yep, but you could have made them family."

Are these the reasons that Mal decided to bring them back aboard? Captain with a conscience? IMO a good commander is 90%-95% correct with their decisions with the last 5-10% coming with help from the crew.Just the way I see it.

Maybe there are other examples of crew members input weighing in on "Capin Mals" final say. What do you think?
