Nothing to do with firefly but our paper carried a Uk science fiction strip maybe twenty years ago , Just the daily as far as I can remember.. Space Hawke? that name comes to mind but it might not be it. If any UK comics fans out there can give me some info I'd greatly appreciate it.

You could try asking through SFX magazine - they have a page where people ask about obscure sci-fi films and TV series from many years ago, and they have very good coverage of comics generally.

Is the comic strip that you're referring to 'Jeff Hawke', created by Sydney Jordan? It ran in the Daily Express for about 20 years. (I think it was created in 1954?)

Here's a sample of the comic strip:

Book one, written by Willie Patterson, Sydney Jordan from 1986:

Book two, written by Willie Patterson, Sydney Jordan from 1987:

I think it ran in the Eagle comic at one point, although I might be imagining it. I found this website too: http://www.jeffhawke.com/en/fr_jhen.htm

Hope these have been helpful.

Keep flyin'!
