I read this and thought - hey, I thought Joss said he wasn't a libertarian?? :-) I am, and I've been saying stuff like that for years!

Seriously, I think it's one of the most important and overlooked ideas today. If only more people believed it, we'd all be better off! (now isn't THAT ironic).

The Serenity/Firefly take on government as meddlers thing struck a BIG cord with me. Of course, I have had run-ins with the regional building department, and pay quarterly taxes...so you can guess how I feel about the whole thing :)

Any yes, people have the right to be wrong...make mistakes...do something different and unique without having to have forms filed in triplicate and get pre-authorization.
