Ever sat down and recorded an mp3 of your own commentary track to an episode of Firefly?

If so -- or if you do so in the future -- submit it for listing on Big Damn Commentaries.

http://www.bigdamncommentaries.com/

Note: This is technically a pre-launch beta for the site, since I won't know if all the kinks are worked out until I start getting to add some listings.

Also, I'm still building the Help page (which just says "coming soon"), so right now this only makes sense for people who know how to record their own mp3s.

(Obviously, this is for Browncoat-recorded audio commentaries which people can cue up on their computer and start at the same time they start watching an episode on DVD, in case that isn't clear, heh.)

DONCOAT

I never really thought about doing this, but it sounds like it might be fun. I'd be tempted to try one of the eps that doesn't have "official" commentary on the DVD set -- I'm always annoyed that there are several that don't.

I think there would be two problems, though -- first, lack of meaningful and interesting things to say, and second, the temptation to get MST3K on your ass. I love Firefly, but who could resist responding to the funny parts of the dialog in kind?

That, and the fact that I have a rather nasal voice that nobody would want to listen to...

Ain't about you, Jayne. It's about what they need.
