Ok, guys, here's new numbers directly from UIP Russia.

2nd weekend: $ 356,797 (10,192,470 roubles)
Drop: 46,8%
Screens: 238
Total: $ 1,404,746 (40,128,820 roubles)

It's pretty good numbers considering VERY STRONG
competition from 9 Company, new russian box-office king. That movie grossed $ 20m in 18 days, and about $ 24m in three weeks. For example, Return of the King (highest grossing Hollywood movie) grossed only $ 14m.

UIP representative told me that some theaters (I think there's plenty of them) replaces other movies (including Serenity) with 9 Company - agains all agreements, of course.

I don't know numbers from Ukraine yet (I'll ask about it tomorrow), but expect something about $ 1,55m in sum from Russia and Ukraine. It's just like $ 31-37 m in USA, 'cause movies in Russia (plus other CIS countries) grosses about 20-25 times less than in USA. I believe Serenity can reach $ 2m in our counties (equivalent to $ 40-50m in USA if you don't mind).
