Just got back from my second viewing ...

Still

Spoilers

Here

You're

Warned

I have to say I enjoyed the BDM much more the second time. Mostly because the sound was perfect, unlike my first viewing, but also I was prepared for certain events, so I could prepare for it.

Funny line I missed the first time:

Mal has just come to the bridge after the wave from Inara. Kaylee has mentioned people having feelings and maybe she just wants to see him ...

Mal: You all were listenin?

Group: Yeah

Mal: Did you hear us fight? ... Trap.

Followed by Zoe's great line about not risking her ship to rescue him if things went bad.

Heard by someone in front of us as the credits rolled "You know it's a good movie when no one wants to leave the theater."

Quary: Is Jayne wearing a St Christopher medal?

Now, when the DVD comes out, someone promise me you will rip the end credits music so we can have a copy of the guitar solo of the Firefly theme. I have no idea how y'all work that kind of magic, and can only benefit from your brighter lights in that regard.

Oh and we had I would guess about 100 people for the 7:30 show; they still had a queue area set aside as well so folks must be coming to warrant a line area. Not bad considering the Broncos game had ended only a couple hours before and the weather is down right nasty.

Broncos eh? Denver i take it then? I was in Colorado Springs for the 2:15 this afternoon, and we didn't have quite the same turn-out, the theater was maybe 1/4 full, 50 people maybe. But mind you, this was 2 i nthe afternoon, i'd expect more in the night time. Oh, and i too was wondering what kind of medal Jayan was wearing. You can clearly see it in the sence where Mal asks if he wants to run the ship, Yeah that one.

Oh husband thought of a question as well.

For those of you that saw advance screenings:

Select to view spoiler:

Did Wash always die in the manner we see in the final cut?

Oh and a note about Inara's bow thingy. I read somewhere I thought that the bow was later CG'd to be a more traditional gun type weapon, but you can clearly see the first "round" she shoots is a bolt. Though it is interesting how in a later shot you can see the bow recoil so to speak. I still vote for a better weapon for her in the BDS.

Also, regarding Inara's bow: when she's shown in a close-up, it's the snazzy futuristic bow thingy, but when she's in the background, it's clearly just a regular old kind you could get in gym class bow. Which amuses me greatly.
