Lucky enough to have already seen SERENITY

My wife (who is a MAJOR Firefly fan) and I were lucky enough to see SERENITY a week ago at a sneak preview in Baltimore, MD. The movie got several rounds of applause during the flick and a BIG round of applause at the end. It is fantastic and, believe me, if it sucked, I'd say so. After we got home, I e-mail-bombed everyone I know (since I moderate several retired military groups, that's thousands of people) and told them all to go see this movie. After you see it, if you agree, please contact everyone you know and urge them shell out the $$$ to see it as well. There's a few folks on www.imdb.com who are bad-mouthing it, calling it a rip-off of the Millenium Falcon, Hans Solo & other Star Wars ideas. Well, for those folks, I'm sure that, when they write their incredible script and have it made into a movie, we'll all forget about SERENITY and Joss Whedon, won't we.

The people who post on imdb are semi-professional haters. The really hardcore ones hang out at ainitcool.com

I saw Serenity at the June screening. So excellent. Also, my friend just got passes to a free screening this Tuesday, so I'm going then as well. Not sure whether or not to feel guilty about that.
