NAKEDANDARTICULATE

Everyday it's getting worse, or better.I'm talking about countdown fever. 10 days to go( others across the world may suffer longer). But the problem isn't the film itself,it's the outcome(box office) and while somedays I feel it will do well, today is not one of those days. You see I just sat thru 1 painful hour of entertainment tonight, access hollywood,e news, extra and the insider.Nothing was shown about Serenity---now before you all say"But Kevin,Serenity doesn'y come out until next week." I only have this to say to you----------
Access Hollywood just had a story on "into the blue",but it gets better...are ya ready? Huh,are ya? At the end of the story it said "Join us tomorrow, for more on Into the blue as our full week coverage continues.......INTO THE BLUE WEEK?!?!?!!?!?!?! What the hell can you talk about for more than 30 seconds other than(say it slow) Jessica--Alba --in -- a bikini!! That's it! End of story put your penis back in your pants. Access Hollywood is owned by NBC/Universal?!@?!!!?!? Honestly I swear by my pretty floral bonnett, these sugary sweetfest crap shows that try to pass themselves as "news" better get with the real story of how a cancelled show came back to life to become the greatest gorram movie out there!!!!!! Let's show these sumbitches what mighty really means! Let's choke that box office! Corpse Bride? Stay dead! Flightplan--gee I wonder if the nice guy turns out to be the bad guy?!?!!? Oliver Twist--read the book! Into the blue is pg-13 so no shot of Jessica's Albas!!! So skip it,the fish in that movie can act better than Paul Walker and JA put together!......i'm sorry I lost my medicine.

I would guess that Access Hollywood is probably owned by the same studio that is releasing Into the Blue. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think Serenity will do just fine.

I prefer a bit of the "Into the Black" myself. Why can't they do Into The Black Week?

Though only been a rather recent (though thorough) convert to this truly lovable entity, Firefly-Serenity, and perhaps looking at this whole view from a somewhat different perspective than the majority of the longtime fanbase, I thought I might add my thoughts, for what ever they’re worth.

I have a somewhat subtle fear that so many here have so much anticipation built up (and understandably so for after years since the show was cancelled to have the BDM finally about to debut), that’s it’s not going to be the #1 movie on it’s release.

Well’ I surely hope it is, but I think what’s really important here is to keep our hearts set on what is going to really make this a success, is the same reason that it went from a (publicly) obscure cancelled series to a BDM in the first place, and that is it’s Wonderfully Unique Character and Quality.

There have been many, many movies with big bullsh*t add campaigns, but no substance, that did great at the box office the first couple weeks, only to just as quickly vanish, where as very often, the exact opposite has happened.

That, my friends, is exactly what I’m banking on for our beloved Serenity.

I don’t personally believe that degrading other films being released is a particularly constructive approach, as undoubtedly others are going to be publicly well received. (I personally like Tim Burton’s films and will definitely see Corpse Bride…When it’s released on DVD.

SERENITY is going to be the first movie I will be paying cash money to see at the ‘movie theatre’ in over three years.

Maybe I’ll see ya there (I’ll be the one wearing the browncoat…and no pants)

My local cinema is not showing Serenity. So, I either drive over Sardine Pass to get to Cache Valley, or I hit the freeway for a hundred mile plus round trip to Ogden. Neither dicourages opening day viewing, but, I can't see it each of the first three days as I had planned.

Bought the movie magazine and have stashed it away 'till I see Serenity.

They took away Christmass. All the shiny presents gone. All that was left was coal.

CYBERSNARK

What chain would that theatre be?

My local theatre (Cineplex Galaxy) is also giving me ominous amounts of nothing (no posters, no trailer, no mention on their Canada-wide [no websites for individual theatres] website). I sent them an Email last week asking when (not if) it would open, and they said that it'd be up to the theatre if the movie ever reached Cornwall (a.k.a. Corner of No and Where, Ontario).

Then I did a websearch on the nearest alternative theatres, and one of the possibilities was in Canton, NY. That made me smile, though it's a little out of my way.

I may just end up begging mom to give me a ride to Massena, or Ottawa (I have a work-related non-movie excuse, which will carry more weight with my never-been-a-fan-of-anything mother).
