I think 'The First's' real plan was to have the potentials become Slayers and end all future slayers. With all Potentials now Slayers when all living slayers die there will be no more Slayers. Then when all the slayers come to help Angel and everyone either dies or is sucked into another dimension. Willow cast a spell to open a portal to banish some of the demons to another dimension. In order to make the spell work Willow uses Dawn as key like energy as a catalyst. It becomes stronger because of all the energy created by the fighting. All magic and demon energy is taken with it when the portal closes. Angel is the only demon left (or half demon anyway) and Spike is still alive and human (thanks to Angel signing the Scroll in his blood.) Nina is human again, as is Oz. Everyone at the fight dies, except Spike and Angel. Buffy is the last Slayer standing or left in this dimension but just before the portal closes around her, she throws the Scythe to Angel. Spike moves on and eventually dies a human death. Angel and Nina give it a go but he becomes obsessed with trying to find Buffy and the Slayers that were pulled into the portal which he assumes was a portal to hell, as does Giles and Andrew the last of the watches. Andrew keeps the torch burning long after Giles gives up hope. Eventually they goes crazy. The first just waits for its chance to mess with Angel making him bite a few people making them Vampires. Soon, the First gains enough power and finds a way to bring back some demons and magic. Eventually they are everywhere. The first becomes corporeal. This happens about two hundred years after Buffy's Disappearance. For the first time a new Slayer is awakened her name is Melaka Fray and she is the first potential since the death of Buffy Summers (as you can read in "Fray" The Dark Horse comic book. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1569717516/qid=112653423

As many humans as possible left earth and the rest died because it is now a demon breeding ground. Hell, just what the first wanted but it's pissed because its suck on earth with the rest of the monsters except for the Reavers of course. I imagine Simon finds a man that has no heart beat and thinks he's dead. When Shepard Book give the man his final right and after he place a cross on the man he wakes up and scares the crew except River, who knows what he is (saying something cryptic that just seems to confuse everyone.) He says his name is Angel and Jayne says something like, "what kind of guy has a girly name like that?" A wacky episode happens, something like book need to find out about this man. Is it possible that a Vampire exist at all? Going into his order to find out they have a history that connects back to the watchers because Giles became a priest in order to restore his sanity and past on his tales as a watcher to a few in his order that he trusted.

I liked that rumor too! I kind of hoped it would happen in the BDM, just as a quick, funny nod to the fans. Definitely a nice job tying everything together.
