As far as I can remember the brigade Mal fought in during the war is refered to only once as the Balls and Bayonets Brigade, by Badger.
I always thought that this was a sarcastic remark made by badger as an insult to Mal, but a great deal of others seem to see it as the actual name of his fighting division.
Is there any other official sources for this? What are your thoughts?

Personally I believe Balls & Bayonets are trumped by Boots & Bullets.

I didn't do it.

"Balls And Bayonets Brigade" is one of the standard "tough unit" nicknames. No one in their right mind would call a regiment or brigade that.

I know of at least one place that uses it as the actual name of the unit he served in, though... which just makes me laugh. How ridiculous.

Other than that... I can't say anything that isn't a tiny amount of spoil-age.

It's probably either a sarcastic remark or a nickname they gave themselves. More the former than the latter is likely.

They're official unit was was called the 57th Overlanders
