Hello all,

Two big pieces of news.

1) Standard Bearers
We need two people to help carry the different standards the Parade group has. I need 1 person to carry the other end of the SEBC Banner, and I need one more person to carry the flag pole bearing the Browncoat Flag. The carriers will be chosen from the top two members of the parade group that donate the most money to the SEBC (remember a portion of the proceeds will go to the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center, the charity of which Ron Glass is a chair). Once you submit a donation, let me know so I can double check your name with the records from our treasurer. One can donate multiple times. I will annouce the "winners" 1 week before Dragon-Con

2) Post parade photoshoot.
Cosplay.com (a free-to-join online costuming community which includes a free photo gallery, of which I am a member) is hosting an open photoshoot immediatly after the parade

DAY: Saturday, September 3rd
TIME: Immediately following the parade
LOCATION: 1st floor lobby of Marriott hotel (near registration desk)

Hey, I had an idea that I thought would be super-cool, maybe you could convey it to the organizers. Wouldn't it be awesome if the Browncoat batallion were preceded by the BDHs in a car? The idea came to me after seeing pictures from last year's parade.

Just a thought - I'll be proudly taking pictures of everything.

As said in the post: carriers will be determined by participants in the parade who donates the most to the SEBC by the week before dragon-con. So I can't "reserve" anybody as a carrier.

Guests of the convention (i.e. The BDH) must be contacted directly (or their agents etc)to be invited into the parade by the various parade groups. The convention parade organizers only deal with the permit and logistical issues of the parade.

I will extend an invite, if I had their contact information. But, I am not loosing any sleep over not having that info. Dragon-Con is insane (in the good way) and even our BDH's need their rest when they can with the multitude of other appearances they must make.
