I've been searching for a 60-90 second clip that showcases the overall humor, action, and such that makes Firefly great.

Anybody have any ideas?

Much of the best stuff depends on a certain level of familiarity to be really appreciated. I think a real good introduction to the world is the landing on Persephone in the first episode. Start with the ship coming in to land and go through Badger. It might be a little longer than you're asking, but it's worth it. If you can edit, you could shorten some by cutting the Book/Brutus scene.
