I haven't seen this mentioned here yet and was just wondrin' if anyone else caught Alan Tudyk in the cast performance of the "Find Your Grail" number from "Spamalot". He was the knight with the long red hair who yelled "Hey!" when they were climbing the mountain.

I have it on my TiVo and can get a screenshot of it over the weekend. I'll post it to the Blue Sun Room. I've paused it in a few places to see what the best shot would be, but in all cases so far its hard to tell that its him.

I was surprised to find out he was there. I was under the impression he was taking Hank Azaria's role but Hank was also performing at the Tonys.

Damn! I had the Tonys on TiVo (only because SPAMALOT was nominated) but I deleted it. I assumed Alan wouldn't be there because Hank Azaria was.

Interesting (to me anyway) sidenote: One of the winners is the sister of a guy I used to work with.

I wondered briefly if that was Alan, but I don't think it was. Reason being, the promo photos for the show have the same guy in them...and those photos were taken before the show even opened. I'll take another look though, I did tape the show.

I assume Hank Azaria came back because he himself was nominated. It stands to reason that he would assume his former role for the production number, shunting Alan off into a supporting position. I'm sure Alan understood.
