I offered a local magazine editor/publisher a free firefly dvd set as long as if he watched it, he would do a write up on it their magazine. It worked, People!

" Jamie, Sorry I haven't gotten back with you sooner, but I have good news. I mentioned your message to "Jimmy Faux" (our Hollywood 'insider'). If you check out the latest issue of Red Shtick, you'll see that he talks about Serenity in "The Reel Dirt". If you don't have access to a copy, you can go online and read it. Just thought you'd like to know. Jeremy."

You can view this at WWW.Redshtickmagazine.com

I am happy to have contributed to our BDM!

The full text of the mag:

"Serenity Now! Who’s out there yellin’ about serenity? Is this some new commercial for a mood-tempering drug? Is somebody making vague references to Seinfeld episodes?

No! They’re screaming about Serenity, the Joss Whedon film based on the short-lived but well-loved TV series Firefly. This is not to be confused with Serendipity, which has nothing to do with space, cowboys, smugglers, or the Chinese language. Well, maybe it does; I’ve never seen it. John Cusack peaked with Better Off Dead, in my opinion. Anyway, for those of you who were watching Fox in 2002, you may remember a show that fans loved but the network apparently hated. Not only did they not consistently show the episodes in their usual time slot, they didn’t even air them in order, showing several episodes before the expositional series premiere.

Well, the kind folks at Universal were wise enough to scoop up the rights to the property and are going to have a film set to open in the fall. Come September, you and yours will be able to run down to the nearest moving pictures hall and eyeball some action like you ain’t ever seen before. Just about the whole cast is back in action, including Nathan Fillion as Malcolm Reynolds and the always lovely Gina Torres. Check it out, you won’t regret it. Your friend, the Faux, will keep you updated. "

Well done

Thank you for doing that for me. I was rushing this at work and in my excitement forgot I could do that. Thanks, again.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Ahh I'll have to go out and see if I can find the magazine. That's awesome it got a write up in a local paper for a change, maybe it will get more BR browncoats :) I always thing about writing into the Advocate, the local newspaper, but I never do.

Keep shiny!
