I asked this at the Fox BB and was laughed to scorn. Someone has been arguing with me, insisting that Adam Baldwin played a dual role in Jaynestown as both Jayne and Stitch -- citing voice characteristics and awesome acting ability and I don't know what-all. Personally, I really doubt it, and the sole person who answered my question seemed to agree with me (I think) ... but I am not known for my powers of observation so I needed an "expert" to confirm/deny. The arguments they used, however, have not persuaded my friend that he was mistaken.

So, I am asking here. I'd appreciate any thoughts for or against ... or (what might really be most effective) can anyone identify the actor who played Stitch?

Stitch was played by Kevin Gage. I got this from:

Jaynestown was one of my favorite episodes. There was so much good stuff in -- the Book-River bible study, the hair, Jaynes' song, Kaylee-Simon sleeping together, Simon trying to be a buyer, Mal-Jayne discussing the need for heroes, everything...

I thought it was Adam at first too. And then dude stepped out of the box and was so obviously not him that I actually laughed at myself a bit. Stitch was downright scrawny compared to Jayne. So I never really understood how it was even debateable.

"I was gonna get me an ear, too." - Jayne

Thanks Mudder! That's pretty irrefutable. I appreciate the legwork you did to sort out my friend's misconception. With so many other points open to interpretation (The Great Jayne Debate), it's nice to have one at least that we can put to bed!
