Well there might be thos people who think its over. I got one thing to say, **** em. I not about to give up just because someone said we aint gonna make it. They dont know how much we love this show, how loyal we are too it. How do you think Serenity came to be. It wouldnt be hear if we quit, and ill be damned if i just give up now. Its time to dig in, time to get out there and get this damn show back on its feet. This show has so much potential and if someone would get behind it, it could be great. They dropped the ball on advertisement, and picked it up and ran with it. Im licken out city till the end. Even if serenity crashes and burns ill still be beside it, trying to convince someone to pick her up agian. I loved this show and i dont want another movie of it or a comic book, i want the show back, the show i fell in love with, i dont know what the rest of you are giong to do but im going to do what ever it takes to get it back.

Step 1: Get yourself a whole big pile of money.
Step 2: Hire yourself the actors and writers necessary to make it happen.
Step 3: Have them create a new version of Firefly.

Once you clear step 1, you're set.

On a more serious note -- if I had 10 million dollars I would hire an outfit like zbs.org to put Firefly on the radio. Dr Who has been on the radio for years -- some of its best stuff. In fact, most of the living old Doctors still create new episodes, and at a very low price tag. Firefly is not a special effects or even visually driven show, so putting it on the radio would be extremely effective and not terribly expensive. The nature of audio recording would also allow for the original cast members to do their own parts, as it doesn't have the location and time intensive efforts that video or film does. You're going to need good writing though. You're going to need Joss and Tim and their boys to put together the excellent story arcs and dialogue that we're accustomed to. Punch out a four-hour episode each year, maybe two, and sell on CD or via mp3 for a reasonable price. Include adverts inline to help generate revenue.

Again, if it was my money, I'd pretend the movie didn't happen. I'd work the audio shows for years using the excuse, "this all happens before the movie" and just pretend that Mal said eight years instead of eight months. In fact, I'd pull a George Lucas and re-edit the movie before DVD release so that Mal DOES say eight years instead of eight months. And then pretend everyone didn't hear it right the first time.

So there you go -- there's your answer. Stop buying 300 tickets for the film and 12 copies of the DVD and instead create a trust fund to produce new episodes on audio-only. Non-profit. $10 million could put Firefly in the air in perpetuity and you wouldn't have to deal with the Hollywood bulls**t. How many Browncoats are there? 100,000? That's $100 each to start, and then sales of the episodes to maintain the trust. A good lawyer could probably write this up in an hour or two if you could get the right people to sign on.

You know, I would love to see Firefly come back as a HBO/BBC co production. Its pie in the sky of coarse but I would love to see what Firefly would be like if it was completely freed from the commercial driven American network machine.

Who do you suppose is in there?

Easier said than done my friend, and i dont bye 300 tickets i simply promote the show as much as possable. The show will sell itself and it will get people hooked, im confident in that. Once the dvd hits stores i think the dvd of the series will spike in sales as well. I think that this will draw attension and lead to a posable comeback of firefly. If all else fails, then i guess we could do a show where the people can infest in the show and hold shares in it, like a buisness, and then you can air the show and if the show does well the people can even make money
