Absolutely not.

We don't preemptively pardon anybody.

You fucking people have lost your minds.

If you're really and truly worried about what's coming to people like Fauci and Smith, maybe you should fix your party so you can get reelected and grant them pardons.

I think we need to clear the air in this country," Clyburn continued. "I think that we are trying to run a government on behalf of all the people of this country. And if we spend all of our time going forward pursuing Trump or Trump pursuing Liz Cheney, Jack Smith, Dr. Fauci, that is what we need to get off the table.

Oh baloney!!!

With god-knows-how-many lawyers, officers, and investigators in the Fed bureaucracy, is Clyburn saying DC can't walk and chew gum at the same time??? That "everyone" will be so consumed by investigations that DC will come to a screeching halt and nothing else can get done???

Jeez.

I like how they've had no problem doing this to Trump for 8 years straight, but now after that's finally all behind us we've got to give Trump a pardon so we can give get out of jail free cards for people who actually deserved to be dragged through the courts for the next 10 years.

Trump is fine.
He is also your current President.

It's really just pathetic at this point.

They know that they still have a very large amount of people who believe everything they're told, but it's as if they suddenly realized that there are far more people who know they're all full of shit and everyone is in panic mode.

And honestly, I really don't think anybody ever factored in Gen X as mattering in anything, at all, ever.

It's not as if anybody could blame them. We are a phantom generation, and most of us prefer it that way.

I think we're probably the last generation that really cares much at all about privacy, and it may be possible given how much more experience and knowledge we have about technology than the Boomers as a whole do, it's probable that Gen X values privacy over any other demographic as a whole.

I don't expect Gen X to come back out in anywhere near the force they just did 2028, and they certainly won't bother coming out for the mid-terms, pretty much no matter what is going on 2 years from now.

I think a good barometer for how the people in our country feel about what's going on is going to be how many Gen Xers are pulled into the voting booth in the General Presidential election every 4 years.

And I think both parties would do well to keep that in mind going forward.

Maybe this is what Clyburn doesnt want anyone to pursue

Quote:

... a cabal of intelligence agencies cooperated to stop him from making changes to foreign policy or scrutinizing the outsized military-industrial complex. Contrary to the media’s dire pronouncements, these insiders were the real threat to democracy and self-government.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, was one of the worst offenders.

As documented in Bob Woodward’s book Peril, Milley spent a lot of time after the 2020 election caballing with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and reassuring her that the military would resist certain orders from President Trump.

He met with the small group of officers who control our strategic nuclear forces and demanded they pledge to get his approval before executing any launch orders, even though, as head of the Joint Chiefs, he is merely an advisor and is statutorily excluded from the chain of command.

Finally, and most controversially, he was telling his counterpart in China that he would let them know if an attack or other action was coming from the United States. He defended this as normal “deconfliction” communications, but these secret talks took place without authorization from either the Secretary of Defense or the president.

All of Milley’s actions took place after he earlier joined with a group of retired officers to impede Trump’s use of the military to stop nationwide riots around June of 2020. Milley sent out an implied message to the troops suggesting that they could ignore any order to deploy, even though active-duty troops have been used in such a capacity repeatedly, including during the 1992 L.A. Riots.

Preemptive Pardons.

Who saw this coming? Not me, although I wasn't thinking about it that hard.

Pardon does not preclude getting charged, prosecuted, convicted, found guilty - just not sentenced.
And not for future crimes. So lying under oath is not covered. The pardonee is required to accept the Pardon, and some have refused because it takes away their 5th Amendment Rights.
Can these criminals really walk the straight and narrow after their lifetime of crime?

Are pardons racist?

As opposed to Trump, pardoning the innocent, Grifter-in-Chief Biden seems intent on only pardoning the guilty.

As long as he gets paid enough.

So why cannot P Diddy buy a pardon?
The Chinese spies seem to have skin color fairly pale.
Biden's heinous murderers have crimes far worse than Diddy.

So is Biden only refusing a Diddy pardon due to skin color? Or something else? Diddy certainly seems to have the cash to buy Brandon.
