Hey... The limited amount of films I've been watching over the last few years were almost exclusively indie and foreign films. The only exceptions to that are stuff I watch with my Dad and brother because, though they're more selective than they used to be, they still love that Hollywood tripe.

Hollywood was dying before it went woke. They have no new ideas and put out the same trash over and over. Going woke is just accelerating their demise.

That's all true about the majority of Hollywood. We haven't gone to a movie theater in about five years. Sometimes we watch a movie on tv, but it always seems to be the same old worn-out movies we've been watching for 30+ years ..... Shawshank, Gladiator, Gump, Titanic, and the like .... seems they're ALWAYS on somewhere on our cable.

The advanced decrepitude that is afflicting movies & tv still does, however, have a few bright spots that we can enjoy. History Channel's been killing it recently with several new docudrama series. "Lincoln" (pt. 2 airs tonite) was excellent last night. And the LBJ stuff is pretty interesting to learn about. I also love Animal Planets' The Zoo, and of course my mates, The Irwins.

Well you're going to LOVE the new Lord of the Rings TV show that Amazon spent a freakin' Billion dollars to create.

If you haven't heard of this, Google it. And then go to any non-lefty source (maybe on page 25 or so of the results) and see what's happened. Or you could just look at the titles of the articles on the first few pages and figure out what they did wrong without ever having to subject yourself to the trailer.

I think it's really telling that I have access to every single TV Show and Movie they make, but I never, ever watch any of them.

Did you notice that if you look at the daily totals from Sunday onward that Lightyear came in third place every day behind Jurassic Whatever and Top Gun: Maverick?

It couldn't even maintain 2nd place for more than two days.
