All jokes aside, I find it really annoying when I try to read an article somebody here posts and I can't because I've hit their arbitrary paywall for the day/week/month and they block it.

Thanks to Second's tip to try the NYT in a Private Window session, I figured out how to semi-permanently solve this issue without having to remember to do that every time. (By semi-permanently, I mean until your browser gets borked, or a forced update breaks it, or these news sites change the way their tech works).

I've tried it out on two major papers so far with great success. Here I will put the instructions for reading as many articles as you want on both of them. As I figure out more, or as you tell me more they work on, I will add them to the list. Also, if you use a browser other than firefox, please feel free to let me know the instructions and I'll add them here for everybody as well.

KNOWN SITES THIS WORKS ON (7/9/2019):

https://www.washingtonpost.com
https://www.nytimes.com

FIREFOX INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Close any instances of the website you might have open in any tabs.

2. Click "Tools" on the menu bar, and select "Options" from the drop down bar. A new "Options" tab will open up.

3. On the left side, click on "Privacy & Security".

4. Scroll down to "Cookies and Site Data", and click "Manage Permissions".

5. Enter each website individually you want to do this to from the working list above (full link with the " https://"; included).

6. Click the "Block" button underneath, then "Save Changes" on the lower right corner.

7. Back on the "Privacy & Security" screen, click "Manage Data" in the "Cookies and Site Data" section.

8. In the search bar, type something that would get these websites to show up (ex: "nyt" for New York Times, "wash" for Washington Post).

9. Select all websites that show up in the box below, then click on "Remove Selected".

10. Click on "Save Changes".

Now feel free to enjoy as many articles as you want without being pestered for your email address or flat out being blocked without paying for a subscription. :)

Let me know if you try this out on any other sites and it works. Please also let me know if you use a different browser and if you want to post the instructions I'll update the OP with the info.

Also, let me know if you get stuck and/or if any of my directions could be stated more clearly so this is easy for everyone.

By golly, it worked, although I didn't need to know:
Trump called Epstein a ‘terrific guy’ who enjoyed ‘younger’ girls before denying relationship with him

“He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Now, Epstein is in jail, charged with sex trafficking by federal prosecutors who allege he abused dozens of underage women in New York and Palm Beach, Fla. He is no longer a friend anyone would want to claim.

And now, Trump doesn’t.

"FAKE News!" Trump tweeted.
