INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -
The attorney for a woman charged with child abuse says Indiana's religious freedom law gives her the right to discipline her children according to her evangelical Christian beliefs.

Khin Par Thaing of Indianapolis was arrested in February on felony abuse and neglect charges. She is accused of beating her 7-year-old son with a coat hanger, leaving 36 bruises and red welts.

The Indianapolis Star reports that her attorney, Greg Bowes, argues in court documents filed July 29 that the state shouldn't interfere with her right to raise her children as she deems appropriate. He cited the Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Thaing cited biblical scripture in her defense.

Marion County Deputy Prosecutor Matt Savage said in an Aug. 5 response that the boy's beating went "beyond these religious instructions."

I gots the rights ta beat my chillins as much as I wanna, 'cuz the bible says to!

I pray to what ever god she believes in that if the courts don't smite her, that she gets hit by a bus.
There isn't anything a child could do that could be bad enough to deserve that.

A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a man to ten years in prison and 2,000 lashes for expressing his atheism on Twitter.

The 28-year-old reportedly refused to repent, insisting what he wrote reflected his beliefs and that he had the right to express them.

The hardline Islamic state’s religious police in charge of monitoring social networks found more than 600 tweets denying the existence of God, ridiculing Koranic verses, accusing all prophets of lies and saying their teaching fuelled hostilities.

This is GREAT. And horrifying.

Total hero, though. Crazy stupid, but heroic...

When you take so many things so fucking far left that the goddamned pendulum snaps in half, don't be surprised when ideas normally considered on the right will be able to take full advantage of the system as well.

IDK Six, isn't that more on the religious right than the left. I mean the RR
are always complaining that their rights are being impinged upon by the government and the liberal left.

In other words, that they have the right to beat their children as they see fit and the Bible tells them so.

I knew a woman, several years ago, who would beat her young son, 9 y.o. at the time, with a type of 'yard stick' and she called it the "rod of correction." Ya know, spare the rod, spoil the child. She influenced her sister to beat her son as well, all for minor stupid little things. You know how curious kids are, well he would ask why about something she said and
out would come the rod. It made me sick to my stomach. Both young boys would
be deathly afraid of the "rod" and would nearly pee their pants in fear.

I wanted to take that rod out of their hand and beat them senseless with it to see how they would like it. Needless to say, I stayed far away from the both of them and never commented because they were not my kids. I only saw this once, but I figure it was a routine with them. I always wondered how
those boys turned out, as adults.

My mom would beat me when I was bad and I'm an angel now........lol.

Every 3rd Wave, Regressionist Feminist is somehow tolerant to this behavior when it comes to Muslims. Not just overseas, but in our own country.

While they're completely exhausted believing that every white male in America is just overflowing with an abundance of privilege and trying to knock them down, they have nothing to say when it comes to the abuse of Muslim women. Even Muslim women who live in America.
