Once again, allowing religion to have ANY say in public death policy in INSANE. Brittany Maynard is my hero. She did what needed to be done, and saved her loved ones months of torture. I only hope I have her balls.

They condemned it, they didn't try to stop it. Did the Pope run into her room and yell STOP, no. There are people who are really bothered with this, deal with it. A pretty young girl who was very sick decided to end her own life, this is not some kind of victory.

No, they didn't try to stop HERS, but by putting out an article saying they condemn it, it just adds fuel to the propaganda fire.

It isn't propaganda, it's opinion. There are people who don't agree all your opinions. And yes, if she was ugly I would have been glad to pull the plug myself...ugly people must die.

Except that it's those opinions and the money behind them that have been allowed to sway public policy for 1500 years. I agree Wish.

I don't know if she believed in God, but this was her personal choice. She didn't want to put herself or her family through any more pain. She had a terminal sickness that no one could do anything about.

Plus, as you so eloquently stated, where was the Pope? Why didn't he go to her and make a personal plea? Plus, hasn't her family gone through enough and now we have to hear from these geniuses! This is why I despise the corporate church. Where's the compassion!?

And I thought this Pope was really trying to shake up the morbidly stodgy church and all it's disciples down to it's foundation.
