No love for the bald eagles, the national symbol of America.

Oh beautiful for spacious skies.....

Well not so much now.

America loves a winner!

I wonder which has contributed to more bird deaths... wind mills or the application of DDT.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

I'm sure it's DDT overall. But when you kill Bald Eagles there's no excuse.

http://news.yahoo.com/wind-farms-pass-eagle-deaths-214324470.html. That's strange. Or is it? Looks like somebody did some heavy editing in order to twist the original article for their own agenda.

Here's the original.

It's a different read, entirely.

Not only that, but here's a response: We all plug things in, and that energy has to come from somewhere. Despite what the story on the Associated Press wire today would seem to suggest, wind power is the most environmentally benign source of utility-scale electricity, and a leading solution to climate change, the greatest threat to wildlife. AP writer Dina Cappiello interviewed AWEA and wind company wildlife experts at length, but left out virtually everything we told her. Here are the top five things her story left out: http://www.powerofwind.com/blog/post/fact-check-5-things-the-ap-missed
-in-its-recent-coverage-of-wind-energy_1
.

David Ward, American Wind Energy Association.

Maybe the AP reporter Dina Cappiello who wrote the story was having her phone records seized by the Govt. that day. Funny 'cause the Associated Press is the source of almost all the news in the world, and is generally considered as the gold standard. Curious though.

Except that I wish I had a dollar for every time I've browsed Snopes and seen the words, "The story was picked up by the Associated Press and spread from them to other news outlets, but it originated from [tabloid source or blog] and is completely untrue."
The AP is a business, and they look for sensational stories in order to sell ad space. I take the majority of their stories with a bit of salt, in deference to their apparent habit of printing first and fact-checking later. How they can still be a respected news source after some of the fairy tales they've printed is a bit beyond me.

What reason had proved best ceased to look absurd to the eye, which shows how idle it is to think anything ridiculous except what is wrong.

This should really be about the decline of honest journalism.
