Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

This is why I'm an optimist, a lot of problems in this world of ours just seem to sort themselves out*. Don't underestimate evolution baby.

Had to split up the link again:

Gosh, if true that would sure be nice. I wish I had your optimism. But we're already so far beyond the earth's ability to FEED the billions we have, that I don't see it helping in time.

Wish to hell I could clone your optimism; when it comes to both my country and my species, I'm afraid I'm fresh out.

Tit for tat got us where we are today. If we want to be grownups, we need to resist the ugliness. If we each did, this would be a better reflection on Firefly and a more welcome place. I will try.

Didn't I post about this a couple months ago? Anyway, yeah, current projections suggest the growth rate is slowing and will stabilize at what should actually be a sustainable number.

Although we should still work on reducing our pollution, and living more ecologically friendly anyway. Also on agricultural technology, both for nutrition, to use up less land, and for increased production, because bad crop years and famines still potentially hit us hard.
