In calling for a broader, simplified tax code, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Friday that bigger businesses, in knowing how to utilize loopholes in the tax code, are "doing fine in many places" compared to small businesses.

Romney's running mate Paul Ryan made similar comments in an interview earlier Friday, also in arguing for what the duo says would be a tax code more conductive to a competitive economic system.

"Here's the thing, he's not asking you to contribute more to pay down the deficit, or to invest in our kids' education. He's asking you to pay more so that people like him can get a tax cut," Obama said this month at a campaign event in Mansfield, Ohio, pointing to a report by the Tax Policy Center that concludes that Romney's economic plan would provide large tax cuts to high-income households while increasing the tax burdens on low to middle income taxpayers.

Gee, isn't that what Obama said recently, and the Repubs jumped all over it? Oh, yeah, there it is:

Romney's comments may stir political memories of a comment made by Obama in a June news conference saying "the private sector's doing fine." The Romney campaign seized on the comment using the gaffe as evidence that the president is out-of-touch with the ailing economy.
Sauce for the goose, anyone?
Hell, of COURSE they're doing fine; Wall Street is the only place that's gotten back to "normal"...in fact I think may be a bit higher than it was before the recession? With as many tax breaks and loopholes as Big Business gets, why WOULDN'T they be doing great while the rest of us are hanging on by our fingernails? But hey, we need to give them MORE tax breaks and loopholes, of course!

Mitt Romney, introducing his running mate: "Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!"

Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."

JONGSSTRAW

The minute Congress gave them billions of taxpayer dollars without conditions they were fine.

The minute AG Holder announced he wouldn't prosecute any of them, they were real fine.

And the minute I saw a young, then-unknown Sofia Vergara on Entourage in Season 4, I knew she was very fine.

I love you Alice B. Toklas, and so does Harold Fine.

..Umm, better than Reuben's.
One more.
..Ben!
My last one.
..Okay.
