Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I found this CNN video interesting. Apparently there is some doubt about the quality of blood spatter evidence in this murder case.

Perhaps this man did murder his wife, or perhaps he didn't, but it is interesting that the evidence in the case- the specific evidence used to convict- is in doubt.

Yes, very interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing.

I think some aspects of blood splatter forensics is more reliable than others. For example, forward splatter would be more convincing than back splatter in this case.

This brings up the issue of paid expert testimony. It feels like 'justice' for hire to me.

America loves a winner!

Science is a tool, nothing more. The problem here is, more weight is being given to 1 plausible explanation, than another explanation.

Was T.Rex a hunter, a scavenger, or a bit of both ? Despite all having the same evidence, not all paleontologists agree.

And yes, same goes for global warming, and a host of other issues.

So, no, I do not believe the science is wrong. It's us, who sometimes make the mistakes.

Oh don't even get me started - our "justice" systems misuse of science, pseudoscience and downright make-believe pretending to be science is legion.

Anyhows, on and on and on it goes - so you can perhaps understand that my opinion of any such "evidence" brought by the State is in general, nasty sarcastic laughter, especially in regards to the railroad train that "justice" has become in this country, to the point where people have begun to even forget what courts, trials, and jurys are FOR, if not rubber stamping verdicts and throwing people in jail.

Believe me, Anthony - it should be "in doubt" far, FAR more often than it ever is!
