Sorry. But, yikes, is there that much crime in this town that their insurance dumped the police, or was that just part of gaming the system along with the council?

The corruption is too bad, sounds like they gutted the town, not surprising. Contracting out to the neighboring town might get them back on track, but maybe also this council is doing that to hide money themselves. And yeah, ridiculous people pay taxes for this kind of thing.

Don't really see what the Latino thing has to do with anything, unless there's a bunch of Coyotes in town (crime rate), or a tax issue associated with illegal immigration, but this is not something I understand well. Illegal immigrants would have to be having children to increase city expenses, and I thought that illegal immigration recently was about sending money to the home country. And, of course, not all Latinos are illegal.

By the way, if all the workers and police are laid off and/or fired, then no, the people there do not have to pay their taxes. File a lawsuit. I'm sure Orly Taitz can help them out on that. Or PN will. Right?

I'm seeing 45% of the 96% Latino population is illegal.

One of the recent councilmen was having his own business, Pro-Uno, filing those excessive claims against the police (I guess?). It also sounds like less so much there was a tax problem, and more like there was a policy in regards to rent for illegal immigrants that was proving to be a serious money drain. Supposedly it was so the illegal immigrants would keep voting the council members back into office, but I didn't think illegal immigrants could vote.

It's still probably more of an argument against small town politics than it is race or immigration status. It's not like the taxes people seem to want from illegal immigrants would have paid for anything.

However, whoever voted in the corrupt morons has some blame in what's happened, and that might be illegal immigrants. But that's what you get when you fall prey to demagogue politics. It's not who can benefit you, it's who will do the best job for the COMMUNITY.
