Isn't that cartoon great Kwicko? Really captures the essence I think.

HKCAVALIER

What is this American OBSESSION with the President as some kinda fricken dictator??? The Rep's wanted their boy to be one (he weren't). The Dem's pissed and moaned about him being one (he really weren't, though he was closer than I'd ever care to get again). Now, this NONSENSE that this utterly MIDDLE OF THE ROAD POTUS is metaphorically "raping" America and coming back to "gangbang" her is not only completely irrelevant (except as a measure of rightwing distortion), it's really disgusting as well. Hey, a Riverlove two-fer!

Repeat after me: Congress MAKES the laws, the Executive ENFORCES the law. Again: Congress MAKES the laws, the Executive ENFORCES the law.

We clear?

HKCavalier

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Thank you Cavalier! Although I doubt the "subtlety" will get through, it's absolutely correct and what I've said several times.

The Congress has been stopped almost dead in its tracks by numbers; whatever Obama MIGHT have wanted to achieve, HIS obsession with bipartisanship and cow-towing to the right in the hopes of getting (imaginary) votes has destroyed the ability of him or anyone in Congress of actually doing the good things we need OR being a "dictator" or anything ELSE.

But it's normal for people to blame the Prez, that's just the way it is...the majority of people, just like the FauxNews watchers, just automatically blame whoever's Prez for everything.

And yes, Dumbya got FAR closer to being an actual dictator than anyone in MY lifetime at least. What was done to the Constitution and our privacy rights alone are the acts of someone who wants absolute power. There can be no denying that, tho' I know they will try.

The cartoon, as you said, is representative of nothing, and deserves no further notice.

"I'm just right. Kinda like the sun rising in the east and the world being round...its not a need its just the way it is." The Delusional "Hero", 3/1/10

And this Healthcare Reform IS the Republican version--from 20 years ago. Now that the Dems have adopted the Republican platform, the Republicans are left nothing and therefore promote nothing.

And did I mention, the effing cartoon is racist?!?!? Maybe the River that's being loved by the OP is de Nile?

It has been brought to my attention that in some circles, "bump" refers to taking another hit of an illicit substance.

Accordingly: BUMP BUMP BUMP.
